Videodefunct is a poetic video blog that using tagging and the construction of folksonomies to organise and provide a structure to a database of videos, sounds or images. This way of organising and viewing a database of media enables people to construct their own pathway whilst maintaining a coherent narrative. Videodefunct was always designed with online documentary and narrative building and video art as a focus for the system. Built using open source software platforms Videodefunct was developed by keith Deverell, David Wolf, and Seth Keen and has been presented at International Conferences and festivals in Argentina, Amsterdam and Melbourne. In 2007 a prototype for World Vision was created to explore new forms of documentary and story telling from poor and impoverished and displaced places.
