Looking for Miss Roder? Then welcome to Greyspace, the home of Intermission. Late at night in an old warehouse in Flinders Lane Melbourne, Intermission: Who is Miss Roder? will see artists from London, Chicago, Brisbane and Melbourne chart the extremity of analogue and digital performance as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival 2008, From the prepared screens of Guy Sherwin (London), the responsive environment played by Jon Pak (Melbourne), to the ritualised actions of Ben Russel (Chicago), Intermission: Who is Miss Roder? will leave a lasting memory of captured images in a woven narrative that brings gesture, intervention, and feedback to the fore of the cinematic experience. This unique experience featuring the aforementioned artists along side Botborg, Steven Ball (London), Dirk de Bruyn (Melbourne), SONE (Melbourne), Abject Leader (Brisbane), and Vijay Thillaimuthu (Melbourne), will employ tactics of confusion, observation, surveillance, and confession, to look for the answers to the question; Who is Miss Roder?.
